Hi, does anybody have an opinion on this setup. I am mostly interested in a tripod for use in the outdoors, for my 10d. This looks like what i need, but i am wondering about how well the head will work. Or more specifically how easy it is to keep the head level.

I take it from the lack of responses that this is not a hideous idea. I have ordered one in at the local camera shop. It does look like this will work for me. Hopefully i will remember to post my opinions on it when i use it some.

I can't comment on the head, other than I prefer a ball head for speedy/ easy setup.

I use the 3001BPRO legs with the Bogen Manfrotto 488 RC2 ball head. Legs and head work great. The legs are light yet rigid and very versatile.

Thanks, I saw the head today at the camera shop, looks like it will be usefull for the near future, or at least until i have a need for something else. For the static types of situations i usually shoot in it should work well. It seems to pass the will i use it test. :-)
