Mini tripod

Does anyone use the mini tripods that cost around 5 or the ones with the ball and socket joint that cost 7. I was thinking about getting one to carry in my pocket and i wondered if they were any good. :D

I've got one of the fixed ones in my camera bag and have used it a few times on the roof of my car when i didn't have time to get out my large tripod.
The only tricky thing is getting the camera level but if that is not a concern then go for it.
I got mine from 7 day shop miles cheaper than the high street.

Promaster makes a nice quality tabletop tripod with a mini ball head also, just in case you haven't already found one you like. Don't forget that you can always strap a mini tri to a fence post or tree branch for additional options. Elastic with velcro works well as does strapping material with a buckle which allows length (hence tightening) adjustment.
