hi
i bought a gorrillapod slr zoom from amazon a few months back, im fairly pleased with it appart from the fact that a couple of times one of the balls has popped out of its socket, its a fairly simple job to pop it back in but i was wondering if this was a normal occurance or do i have a defective item. thx Dave |

Kaz, I have owned several models of the Gorilla Pod (SLR Zoom, Focus) and have never had a ball pop-out. If it popped out once, it is likley to do so again. Would not want that happening if I had my camera mounted on it. If I were you, I'd send it back.

check if there is a hair line crack. It should not pop out my dlsr zoom had a fine crack when it popped out. I contact joby about it, and go a replacement. If your is cracked and you email the transaction receipt to joby, they will replace the defective unit.
