quick release for tripods??

Does anybody make a quick release attachment for a tripod? I don't always use a tripod/monopod and the few items I needed one, the subject is usually gone by the time I screw in the tripod and adjust all the legs.

Most reputable tripod manufacturers also make tripod heads. Most of those heads have quick-release plates. Even some of the cheaper tripods with attached heads have 'em.

Thanks, I hadn't really shopped around for one, so I didn't know that. What is a decent, reasonably priced tripod for a light weight camera? I have a Panasonic FZ35 which weighs nothing. I also don't want to spend more than what the camera costs.....

There are those that look down their noses at Dolica but I have the first one on this list and I'm quite pleased with it. Note that it has a ball head.

Thanks! I will definitely check it out. The price is right!
