I live in Tidewater, Virginia, and don't like most of the camera shops I have found, and/or they don't have much of a selection.

I hesitate to buy a tripod without seeing it and trying it out, so I'd appreciate hearing from anyone else familiar with Tidewater about where I might find a good camera shop.

now you gotta realize that the average brick and mortor photo shop in the smaller communities is going to be somewhat limited compared to that of a B&H in a major metropolitan area. their user base cannot support them carrying a wide variety of such products.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"i livethe distance of58 miles from B&H to my home in NJ. now thats not far. but there is only 1 shop that has any variety on the floor within that distance and even that is limited. 3 miles away from me is Beach cameras retail front end. whats in the store is nothing like what they have on the website and neither are the prices. i have been in there 1 time there was no need to go back.
