Sirui tripod falling apart...? Warranty problems
I bought a SiRui M-3205X tripod 2-3 years ago. One of the leg is falling off and the center column is falling apart. It was an expensive tripod ($500).
SiRui offers a 6 year warranty for the tripod. I have tried to send them an email and call them but so far no answer. Question: How do you deal with SiRui for warranty issues? What can I do? Should I trow it into the trash? Is there a place I can order spare parts? |
I think the Sirui distributor in the US is Argraph Corporation in New Jersey.
If you bought it through a US dealer and registered it, they should be the one to contact. http://www.argraph.com/Sirui-Best-Choice.html |

I have tried! They don't support it because I have bought it from South Korea.... :( |
That stinks :(
but is one of the main reasons I try to buy local. You can't try to tighten the bolts/nuts holding it together and repair it yourself? |
Thought I'd mention I have a Sirui, too, and one of the legs fell off. A piece of curved plastic (I think it's meant to be loose inside which prevents the leg from falling) fell out. I remember I simply put the piece of plastic back inside then put the leg back on and it hasn't fallen off since.
I'm guessing I was a bit rough handling the twist lock when it happened. |
