tripod for d90
 

Hi,

i have just recently bought a NIKON D90
as cost of products are bit high in India<Rs.53,000($12,50 approx)> now i have a very limited budget for tripod <$60>
for which i am getting SILK F740 with quick release
is it a at least an OK stuff for d90 for time

What do you like to shoot? if you like macro, a grounder type tripod would be a better option.

No, i am planning to shoot portraits and the city life in general
and the sea <we have a long coast >esp during sunset,sunrise

I would still look at a grounder type tripod. On the inexpensive end, if you can get a sunpack 4300 pro b. There are other brands, but not sure if you can get cullmann nanomax where you are.

But the slik are good tripod, I use to have a pro 700 series. Just do not get one the is very light, they tend to be unstable with a larger camera on them if it is a bit windy.
