I'm thinking of buying Bogen 3001 pro legs and 486rc2 ballhead for landscapes that include hiking.

Are these a good choise? What about Benro?

Any other suggestions in that price range (perhaps a ball head with panoramic ability, as it seems to me that this one can't rotate only)?

Thank You in advance

Depends on your budget. Let's say about $115. I'd recommend the Manfrotto 488RC2 instead of the 486RC2. The 486RC2 has one knob that controls both panning and ballhead control and that is not good. It should have separate controls, as in the 488RC2. And the 488RC2 doesn't cost that much more.

I guess I am going for 190XPROB and 488RC2/4.

I'm still open for other oppinions, though.

Thanks!
