i was looking for a tripod
my old slick is getting beyond repair although it can still be used
i came across a Hoffman GRM-670 which was a rather interesting ball and socket head style tripod, but i cant find any info on the net and i have never heard of them before
the centre coloumn also comes out and becomes a monopod
does any one know anything about them?
are they a decent buy?
the sales rep at the shop was sure pushing it hard

I know nothing about that tripod, but unless you know the sales rep and/or have done business with the store more than once before, I'd take that recomendation to means nothing more than the rep gets a bigger commission on that tripod than on others. That tends to be a red flag for me.

i am guessing he was pushing it because it was new and "inovative"

and likely he gets a nice commission too

i feel the absence of information and the price reflect the quality

i think i will stick to a brand i do know

thanks for your help though
