It came with a used Manfrotto 3001BPRO I purchased. I think it's a Manfrotto head, however I dont' know for sure, because there's no marking on the head that tells what it is whatsoever.

Does anyone know the model #?

There's nothing with that type lever release and hex shoe on Manfrotto site.

It looks like a Bogen/Manfroto Tripod Head 3055, but part of the bottom is missing. The whole thing is available numerous places in the US$ 130 plus or minus ballpark.

OK... that looks right!!! Thanks

Wow, so I can't really have the entire tilting range for 360 degree rotation without turning the entire tripod.

Is the bottom piece supposed to be separable to allow the top to be used with the legs alone?
