I am looking to purchase a mini tripod for my travels in America this summer.

My requirements are:

A tripod thatfolds upsmall enough to fit in a camera case - maximum 15cm in length.
  • A decenthead on it so it gives stable pans when I am recording (It's a Sanyo HD1010 I will be using so fairly light).[/*]
  • Under £50 if possible.
[/*]
Any advice is much appreciated.

I'm looking at the Velbon Ultra Maxi Mini Tripod which is around about the sort of size I am needing, but does anyone know if this is gives smooth pans?

I get the feeling this is more for just SLR's etc.

Or has anyone had any experience with this Kaiser tripod:

Or (and my final question) is it possible to fit a pan head to a mini Gorillapod?

Thank you and goodnight.

I really quite like the idea of the gorillapod but I have been looking at fluid video heads.

The problem with the ones I have seen is that they are all very heavy and bulky. Does anyone know of a small lightweight head?

The smallest ones I can find, like the Manfrotto 128RC, are still 11.5cm in height and 1kg in weight.

My camcorder is only 300g!!

Please people give me advice.
