Default Tripod for Canon SX1

Hi, new to this thread and i hail from New Zealand. Am after a tripod to suit my new SX1 recently bought, have been looking at all the leading brands and will probably import one soon. Any one with any good ideas on suitable tripods would be warmly recieved, am not after an expensive one, just decent solid tripod i can take out for a day trip and that has good quality parts. love to shoot landscape, sports, people etc. thanks, Bill.

cullmann nanomax 220 less then 2lbs. Good for p&s and superzooms. Not to expensive either, under 50 dollars.

The Nanomax 260 is the tallest one of the nanomax at 64 inchs. But they are very good. If you want something a higher grade the Cullmann Magnesit line is very good, I have a 519 and it does a great job with my t1i. It can be a gounder tripod also. It gives you more ability then the nanomax. The 522 and 525 is pretty good for taller people. It is very stable. But it is about 85 bucks and bit heavier.

I like the cullmann, they are very stable.

http://www.newprouk.co.uk/cullmann.htm

They have some info on the cullmann in english. The cullmann company site is in German, not sure if you can read german. But I have to say, they are very well design. Light weight the nanomax are a very good line, the magnasit is a it more sturdy and stable.
