Default Got a great deal I think! Slik af1000?

I cant seem to find anything on the web about this particular model of Slik tripod. It is a Universal AF1000 and it looks very simalar to the U-212. I picked this up on Ebay with the pistol grip for $33 !!!!!! Just wondering if anyone here knows anything about this model.

Here is the pick from the auction on Ebay.......

My new tripod arrived today, I can now say I got a GREAT deal!!!!!!!!! It came in the original box with instructions and all. I cant see where it was ever used at all, it looks brand new!!!!!! From what I can tell it is a U-212 but it originally came with the pistol grip pan head from the factory and that is why it has a different model number. The styrofoam in the box is custom fit for this head.

After playing around with it for a little bit, I can say I am very impressed! This is one well built and sturdy tripod. The head is worth every penny. It is so easy to adjust the camera and locks in to place with ease. I know its a little overkill for a Lumix FZ35 but for the price how could I go wrong!

It might be overkill for your current camera, but there's always the next one and the one after that. I have a lightweight tabletop tripod that was fine for an fZ30 but doesn't manage a dSLR and older, heavy macro lens - I now regret not buying up.

Congrats - looks like a nice tripod!
