Default Dolica-AX730P105

Would this tripod hold up well using a long lens the Tamron 150-600?

Lotuslady, I have a fairly inexpensive tripod, and a fairly inexpensive monopod. They serve me well. I always read the user reviews, and decide if the negatives will affect my potential use of the product. I also turn off the IS on my canon, and the SSS on my Sony DSLR while using the tripod. I also utilize the two second delay timer( if I can) when shooting to ensure the most stability at the time of the shutter release.

One good thing about Amazon is their generous return policy.

Try it and see if it's what you need, and return it if it's not.

Thanks Robert,

I cannot seem to make a decision on which tripod to purchase. Right now I am looking at these two:

Do I need 73"? I am 5'7" and for some reason in my mind I would like to have something I do not have to stoop over. Any thoughts please?

Bingo. I am 6'1 and I hate having to bend over as well. The only thing that concerns me about a tall tripod is that it may become "shaky" if it's cranked up too far. But that's why I use the 2 second delay whenever possible.
