Default Any opinions or info on this monopod?

I'm thinking about getting a monopod and came across this one in an e-bay auction for well under $100. Any experience with this one?

the first question is:

if you buy it can it be returned if it doesn't quite met your standards?

second:

is it nice and stiff when fully extended?

the head isn't what i would put on a monopod. reason: if i was to go from camera horizontal to camera vertical the camera will now be approx 7" to either the rt or lt of center. sort of awkward.

a head more like this is much simpler to use:

the cost for this piece is about $17

SJMS - by back-tracking on the site pic, it appears that the head is a Bogen model #3232 (Manfrotto #234)?? Does it just screw onto the top of the monopod. I have a very old Manfrotto that I wouldn't mind trying it on.

I use the Bogen 3232 head with a RSS clamp on my monopod and it works great. No need for anything fancy. The 3232 head allows you to swivel the camera left or right for vertical shots. Panning, ball heads, and others are much more than you need on a monopod and also heavier. Many people don't even use a head and just screw the monopod directly onto the camera threads (I prefer a quick release system).

I use the Bogen Manfrotto 3229 on my 3006B monopod and like it very much. It is essentially the same as the one Ohenry mentioned but comes with the B/M QRP. It also comes with a removable insert allowing it to ne used with monopods having either a 1/4"-20 stud or a 3/8" stud.
