I am looking for a tripod that I can extend 20-30 feet in the air so I can take movies of my kids football team. I was at a high school game a few years ago and I saw one that the school was using and it looked perfect. You attach the movie camera to the top and then extend the tripod up about 30 feet. Once in the air, you can make all the normal adjustments.

Anybody have any idea who makes something like this or know where I can find one?

Gee, $3,000 for a really tall tripod. I think I'll go to Home Depot and get one of these instead:

These are only $32.

Hi-Pod also has an extended lease for schools, so maybe that will work out. Info on that can be found here:
