Hello,

I guess you are tired of answering this question. but I read quite a bit, and still cannot find my answer. I want to buy a tripod for use with FZ15, butI really don't feel like spending more than 50$. Most of the threads here discuss tripods 100+. I read a few positive posts forSLIK SPRINT GM. I have few newbie questions about it. Can anyone else propose something better in this price range? Is it compatible with FZ15? Do I need to buy a separate head for it?

It will be mostly used for outdoor shots and sport events.

Thanks for your time.

ok here is my opinion. its a little more then you want to spend but it has a better head in my opinion. i consider ballheads to be better then pan and tilt unless we're doing video.

lokosfia, I think if you start using the tripod a lot, you will quickly become dissatisfied with the Slik. Since you might find that you don't use it much, that isn't all bad (Pretty much no one uses a tripod as much as they should.) The next tripod you buy is likely to cost something like $3-500 so consider the Slik as tution - using the Slik enough to become unhappy with it will teach you a great deal about what you want in a better tripod.
