Excellent shots of under water creatures... I like them all you have a great bunch there. Looks as if you had fun that day. Thanks for sharing your shots.

More things under the sea that are dreamt of in my philosophy. Nice shots.

Fantastic colour!

Glad you like them.

It's a fantasic place to dive. When you first get into the water you think what the... The vis is not great often there's just a gey sand botton with bits of rubbish. However when you start to look around and the guides do their thing the life around there is just amazing. I can also thoroughly recommend the Kungkungan Bay Resort.

The Mandarin is superb!

I have to own up the mandarin is the only shot I've had to crop. Really difficult to photograph as they only come out as it gets dark, are frightened off by your torch and flit in and out of the coral.

Incredible good picks. So many forms of life. Can you post camera and lenses?

Nagasaki Dec 4, 2009 8:25 AM

All except Mandarin fish taken with Nikon D80 and Tamron 90mm macro. Mandarin fish taken with Sigma 50mm macro lens. A few shots such as the second pygmy seahorse, the purple dragon nudibranch and the shrimp on the sea cucumber used the 90mm macro with a reefnet subsea +10 diopter close up lens. The lens alone gives 1:1 reproduction, with the close up lens I can get 2:1. I think I also used the close up lens for the shrimps on the whip corals, but I'm not 100% sure.
