Default Photo Organizer / viewer Help needed

i have started taking photos recently with my new SX20IS. now i need to manage / organize these photos (approx 2000 photos) in different categories / sections. for example one photo (containing "family" and "Beach" ) should goes to both album / folder say 'family' and 'nature'.
i don't want editor. i tried picasa but it can't be port to different computer. suggestions welcomes . . .

I think the answer depends on whether you're using a computer that runs Windows or Mac OS X.

If Windows, I suggest Faststone (which is free) may be what you need. On the other hand, Faststone doesn't work with Macs, so if your computer is a Mac then I think you might find Canon's File Viewer Utility somewhat similar. Maybe it's on the CD that came with your SX20IS ? I'm using a Mac & I got Canon's File Viewer Utility from a CD that came with a Canon camera that I bought a few years ago.

I don't understand "i tried picasa but it can't be port to different computer." I have it on my Linux box, a Windows box, and I'm pretty sure there's a Mac version.
