I realize i'm dredging up an old topic, but one of the nicest viewers for linux is GQview, and many times it isn't installed by default, you have to go get it. Worth the effort though, a really nice viewer.

While searching for a fast browser that also supports the raw files from my KM Maxxum 5D, I found that the free FastStone Image Viewer runs just fine under Wine.

But, make sure you've got MS TrueType fonts installed prior to running Winecfg (otherwise, the font translation will make menus virtually unreadable). With the fonts installed, it's fine.

I'm running under SimplyMEPIS 3.4.3 Release Candidate 4 right now, as I'm thinking about leaving MS prior to any needed upgrade to Vista. I switched my wife to Linux last year, and I'm running dual boot XP Pro and SimplyMEPIS right now. I'm actually typing this response while running MEPIS, giving the new Release Candidate a workout.
