i know of programs that catalog and hold info of files on CDs and DVDs.
these can hold many files in one catalog that are locatedon many CDs .

i need one program like this that can hold also little previews of photos.

nowadays photos of the camera can reach a few MB per file , thus one CD might hold only a few 100s of photos .

a person who has 10,000s of photos might loose track of thier place.
a catalog with just a small preview of the original can hold 10,000s of these and still fit nicely on one or on the hard drive.

can someone here please tell me of any program that does just that?

one that holds previews and names of many photos on multiple CDs\DVDs.

I'm looking for software to sort and manage my images. From what I've been reading i-Match can do what you want. You can do a search or try out their software for 30 days and see how you like it.

Good luck!

I had a same problem and use F-Album now. It stores thumbs and samples (previews)with variable resolution into database. Good features for categorizing, searching, export, copying, making web pages.

Ifeed all my 26 CD with more than 10000 photos to it.Recently migrated to DVD and just readded new media with preserve all information.
