Default Looking to replace a Kodak Z915 point & shoot

My 10 - year - old Kodak Z915 is getting goofy. Sometimes it refuses to react to any control operations.
My best guess is that it has one or more failing capacitors. So, I am considering replacing it.
The most important feature, if it can be called that, is that it is powered by AA cells.
That was why I bought this model to begin with, and whatever replaces it will also need to use AAs.
Other important characteristics: 10 MP, image stabilization, 10 X optical zoom.

Any suggestions?

G'day SM

Years ago, I also liked my camera to run on AA batteries, but regrettably, camera designers have moved to the Lithium-Ion style as a) the voltage is a bit higher and b) they are smaller than AA batteries

With the increasing electrical demands from the camera, 6-volts is no longer enough, and so 9-volts or close to that is now the norm. To get 9-volts means 6x AA batteries and they become too big to fit into the camera body

These days I use Panasonic superzoom / bridge cameras and love 'em to bits, and maybe you can find one in that range that will give you all you need

I have the 12mpx FZ-300 which gives superb images, with a lens that outperforms most other cameras in its class

Hope this helps
Has Lumix mirrorless & superzoom cameras and loves their amazing capabilities
Spends 8-9 months each year travelling Australia
