Default Hello everyone

Just putting my toe in the water. Hope to join in instead of lurking.

Have just discovered the pleasures and steep learning curve of d/slr.

Next week my wife and I are off for a holiday to the Kimberley area of Western Australia, a very scenic unspoiled area. My ambition is to take some less compositionally challenged shots than usual. Some of the good advice on the forums might sink in.

Hi and welcome to Steve's.

Which dSLR did you go for?

It sounds like a nice trip to be heading off for so I hope we get to see some of the shots when you are back.

Happy shooting!!!

Default Camera type

Thank you.

I purchased a Canon D50 with the 18-200 kit lens and also purchased the 1.8 50 mm. My early wish list for other lenses is for a Canon 10-22 mm and a 100 mm micro.

I look forward to sharing some pics.
