Default Hello from Ontario, Canada!

Hi Everyone -

I just purchased my first SLR... it's a T2i w/ 18-200 IS lens. I'm just a beginner, so have lots to learn!

-Nancy.

Nancy, welcome to Steve's, and congrats on the T2i purchase.

Check out our Canon EOS dSLR forum for any help with your T2i, and be sure to share your photos!

I just upgraded...

Went from an *OLD* school Canon qTB 35mm film camera, to a Canon Rebel 2000 35mm film with 75-300mm lens, to my first DSLR - a Canon Digital Rebel (aka. 300D), to what I just got 3 days ago, my Canon 2Ti with 18-55mm IS lens and 55-250mm IS lens. (throw in a Canon PowerShot G2 and Nikon P90 for my non SLRs)

VERY happy in the quality of images over my old Rebel 2000. I was a bit unhappy about the video drawbacks of the T2i though (no autofocus, [email protected] video breaking up even though I have a good class 10 card, and no [email protected]/24fps option, only [email protected]).

I don't know why they don't offer [email protected] 60fps is just as much a memory sucker as [email protected], and 60fps isn't needed much unless you're shooting a fast moving subject (which this camera is useless for anyway, because as soon as the subject moves forwards or backward from the lens, it goes out of focus). Anyway...

As far as a camera.... HUGE upgrade from my EOS 300D (Rebel 2000). Much of that might be due to it also being my first time using lenses with image stabilization too though
