Default My first post *party time*

Hey,

My name is Rafal and I'm for the Netherlands. For the people that think "hey, a polish name in The Netherlands?" they are right! Half of my roots are from Poland.

A few moths ago I started the journey for buying a new camera. As my old Casio Exlim (Point, shot, and be frustrated that nothing can be changes manually) finally died in the Uzbek sun after years of good serves, it was time for something new. During the search of nearly a month reading, googling and youtubing, I not only found my new camera (a FZ38), but also stumbled on this forum, which seems to have a great, helpful community.

During the search, I also learned a lot about photography and I am getting more and more excited in making good shots, until I finally could not hold on to the shots for myself and needed them to be shared (today ^^).

As Im still learning I hope to get helpful tips and tricks, and I think Im now in the stage that I myself can actually start helping beginners.

Hey Rafal. Welcome to Steve's.

I've been to your area once (I visited Amsterdam in the 1970s) and I'm sure you'll find lots of good subjects to take photos of with your new FZ38. So, please make sure to visit often and share some images.

Thanks for the welcomes

Dunno if it is really a polish name (probably not originally), but it is very common (unlike in NL where people dont know how to pronounce or spell it ^^)

Here are some of my first made (and posted) pictures:
