I do alot of traveling and I'm looking for the best smaller camera to take abroad.
I want something that has an optical as well as digital viewfinder. Something small, but it doesn't have to be super compact. I'd like some manual features. Mostly a good picture in alot of situations, indoors and out. I'd like to spend around $300-$400, but would consider going to $500. Any suggestions.....Canon Powershot? Sony Cybershot? What models? |

I'd suggest the Canon A710 IS. It's currently available for just under $400. No reviews yet, but it's an improved version of the A700, with 7MP and a nice image stabilization feature similar to that in the SD700 IS.
Here's a review of the otherwise similar A700: http://www.steves-digicams.com/2006_.../a700_pg5.html |
