hi im an animation student and i need some form of camera that can generate great high definition pictures for mapping and texturing in 3d applications, any idea of the spectrum that i should be looking through, my price range is to about 500 $can.

Forthat price range ($400US) you can get afactory reconditionedOlympus C-5060 (5.1MP) with a full warranty from the Olympus eBay store. I bought (just received it)my super wide woom lens extension for my C-8080 that way at a bargain price. The nice thing for Canadian customers is that although you will be paying GST/PST, there is no CUSTOMS DUTY and shipping is only $5 to anywhere in Canada.
