Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a good super-zoom, and have basically narrowed it down to those two. I really have a preference for the z5 as it seems to be quite a lot smaller than the fz20. Problem is, it lacks the AF-assist. So my main question is the following: Being that the z5 gains up in low-light (which the fz20 actually doesn't), can't I just take low-light pics with longer shutter speeds? Wouldnt that give me sharp pics being that the z5 has anti-shake?

Why not consider the Panasonic FZ3/4/5, which are much smaller than the FZ20, have IS, and have a focus assist light?

Hi Shraga

Anti-shake isn´t a miracle maker. it helps when shutter speed is lowered for few steps, but you can´t still take night shots without a tripod.

I have fz20 and I have noticed stabilizer to be very nice in tele position of the zoom and also indoors when the lightning is still quite good.
