I want an ultra compact model that takes nice pics. These are of comparable size. It is worth spending £40 more on the panasonic? It is also very slightly bulkier. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Thanks.

Stabilization is good for available light in less than perfect lighting. It might be worth the extra money and bulk. The are both excellent cameras.

Edit: I might add that the LCD on the FX9 ishigher quality, but the optical finder on the Canon makes it easier to acquire and follow targets in dynamic situations - expecially at full zoom.
