I am about to purchase my first digital camera after many years of SLR use. I am strictly an amateur and I use my camera mainly for travel photography. A strong zoom is very important to me. I have narrowed my search to these cameras - Nikon D-70 and Olympus E-500. I have 2 questions:
1) I amthinking of getting the D-70 body only as opposed to one of the kitsand then adding the18-200mm Nikon lens. This should be enough zoom and I would not need tochange lenses thereby avoid getting dustinside the camera. Is this a good lens or is there a better alternative?
2) I have read reviews that criticize the 14-45mmlens on the Olympus E-500. I am thinking of either buying the 2 lens kit or the body only and then buying an 18-200 Olympus lens (if available??) or a generic one. Which is the better alternative?
Thank you.
