Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with each of these cameras. I purchased the C-5500 about 6 months ago. I've been happy with it, but still trying to learn about the settings (white balance, f stop etc). I'm not sure when to do what. Anyway, my friend just purchased the A610 and the colors seem to be more vibrant and true. Also the photos seem to be more crisp. Could this be because of my settings? Also, is it worth purchasing the A610 to use different lenses? Thanks Angela |

Angela-
The Canon A-610 is a very good camera, but it does not have an interchangeable lens system. The Olympus C-5500 is a very competent camera, and does well when used in the Program or Auto Modes. iown the Olympus C-5500 and have been quite happy with it. I also own the Canon A-620 so I have experience there as well. If you are ready to spend some money, the Canon A-610 is a good camera. However, give the C-5500 one more change by shooting in the Program mode. MT |
