Hey guys! I got the maxxum 5d today. very excited and opened it to charge the battery first thing! Jim, I know you guys said make sure it is a usa camera and I did when i ordered it. the camera does say "maxxum" not dynax but the plug for the charger is european? now what? can i buy a cord that fits the battery charger somewhere. boy that busted my balloon in a hurry

Check backside of that charger (BC-400) and you should se that it says 100-240V and 50-60Hz.
That means plug adapter or cord with your power plug in other end works. |

Yes, or then cord with your plug in it.
Plug in cord's charger end seems to be standard model used in many other devices. |

ET,
I'm a total idiot! last night my son-in-law came over to see the new baby (camera) and i took everything out of the box and there in the bottom was a us plug that just plugs on the end of the cord!! geeezzzzz!!!!! :roll: thanks a bunch, tho!!! Darlene |
