Hi,
I'm about to spend some 700 $ for a camera. In Poland I can buy for this sort of money for example: - Canon Power Shot S3 IS - Fuji FinePix S9500 - Konica Minolta Dimage A200 I'm only taking average photos, but I like to experiment and change some settings. Important is also that I would like to make some movies with the camera. To be honest I like Canon, but several people told me to buy Konica. Iwasalso toldKonica has been taken over by Sony and I'm not sure it's w wise thing to buy a camera from a company that doesn't exist any more... If you have any tips (maybe other cameras) - please let me know. Thanks in advance! Kuba |

Yes, Konica-Minolta is no longer producing P&S cameras. They are however, producing single lens reflex cameras now for Sony and Sony is providing the after sales service and warranty repairs. So please don't be fearful of purchasing a Konica-Minolta camera. I was in Europe less than two weeks ago and I found that the K-M A 200 was priced quite low in Western Europe. The A 200 is quite a good camera, and with the low price it should be on your shopping list. If you primary goal is the video capabilities of the camera, then the Canon S-2 or S-3 is probably the best of the cameras on your shopping list. MT |
