I need a P & S for everyday carry for my work. I do not need any of the bells and whistles (video, etc).
What I do need is the following: 1) wide angle for interior photos (25-27mm) 2) good battery life (AA is a plus, but I know cameras with AA are limited) 3) cheap to operate (SDHC/SD data cards and readers, which I already own) 4) somewhat compact and rugged, as I will carry it while I work (camera case on belt is typical, so I don't need the "credit card" camera) And, of course, affordable (not looking for a $400 camera). I will probably order online, and would consider closeouts and discontinued models. On an aside, I did find the Sony H20 locally at a giveaway price several months ago, but I couldn't consider it b/c of the exposed lens. Thanks for the help. |

Panasonic ZS1 or ZS5 are possibilities, if the lighting is good.

I have seen some comments on the SX130, and some of them stress its manual controls.
Is it good at auto settings as well? |

Luke-
Yes, the SX-130 is equally as good with manual or automatic control. Sarah Joyce |
