I am looking to buy a compact digital camera for my girlfriend that she can keep in her purse and take around with her with ease. I want something that is at least a 5 megapixel and has a rechargeable battery. Any help and or experiences with any model would be greatly appreciated.Garrett

Hi garrett: Look at the Olympus Stylus Verve S. It is very compact, weatherproof, 5MP, and a design that was aimed to be cool and hip for the female user. Also has the rechargeable battery. It's not the first choice for a camera that most men would buy, but the majority of buyers have been female, who give it high marks for simplicity, and the camera fits very easily in a purse.
