Hi everyone,

I am shopping for a new digital camera and although I already own a nice camera (Canon IXUS 40. 4MP) I really want one that would be halfway decent recording live (and LOUD!) performances. It's almost pointless trying to use my current cam for this. All I get is horrible distortion.
I would be happy with anything that's as good as this:

If anyone could recommend me one that would be great!

Most of the digicams I've seen have the same tiny little button mics, which don't do much for high fidelity sound reproduction. You might be better looking at a camcorder with a big boom mic if sound is that important to you.
