I recently tried to use my Fuji S3000 to take pictures of my god-children and couldnt get a single shot. The time it took to snap a photo was too long as babies move too fast. They were all blurred. I need to get a camera that can shoot quick enough to capture a babies smile and enlargestill keepinggood clear detail. I would also like it to be small enough to fit in my purse. Also need a auto flash, medium size lcd screen & easy uploadprocess. I also hike often and would like to use this to snap photos of landscapes.

thanks so much for your help

I have a Canon A510 which has a "kids and pets" mode which is supposed to let you photograph things which move around a lot.I can't comment as I have not used the setting yet.So maybe that would fit the bill. It is small, takes good pics, but only 3.2 meg so 8" X 10" is about as large a picture as you can print. If you need more megs there is an A520 with 4.0 meg but the A510 takes clearer pics at regular size. It is reviewedas a very good cameraeverywhere.

Was the entire picture blurred, or was the moving subject blurred? Were you shooting indoors, and if so, were you using flash? I ask because depending on how you answer, it may or may not be the fault of the camera. If it isn't the fault of the camera, then changing cameras will not likely help.
