So Im getting a camera for someone birthday and she is a beginner photographer. Whichever camera I get will be used mainly for travel pictures. I chose these three for size, price, and, at least for the Canons, reputation. I have not seem much on the P41, but it is a compact, and cheaply priced 4 meg camera. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions as to which they would prefer for a long overseas trip, if they had the choice.

The A310 and the P41 both have only digital zoom.

So the best choice out of the 3 is the A75.

But: the price tag for the Kodak CX7430 is comparable to that of the A75. It's easy to use and has 4 MP. It's a point-and-shoot cam.

With the A75 you have more options - when knowledge grows you still can use your knowledge with the A75.

Read Steve's reviews of the Canon PowerShot A75 and the Kodak Easyshare CX7430 and decide ...

By checking out other reviews in the 3- and 4-MP range you can extend your knowledge.
