i love the features (panorama, my colors, intervalometer etc.), manual controls , swivel LCD of the canon as an owner of s1. Though i need some more resolution and megapixels, i decided to go with the A620 .
but the build quality, size, ISO performance, of F11 is great. and i want to ask whether the manual controls of fuji is sufficient for me or not ??? andwhere can i find more information about fuji F11? shutter and aperture range for example? thanks a lot... |

Just out of curiosity, if you love your S1, why wouldn't you consider the S2 IS? It has more MP's than the S1. Are you willing to give up the 10x zoom for a couple of MP's?
What type of manual controls are you afraid of losing by going to the F11? I believe the only manual control it doesn't have is manual focus. However, again, it only has a 3x zoom. Can you live with that after have a 10x? You might want to consider the S5200 instead. the Hun |

Now I understand. The F11 lens is F2.8 to F5, and the range of shutter speed is 3 seconds to 1/2000 second. The only review I know of is here:
http://www.photographyblog.com/revie...inepix_f11.php You can compare the noise of the A620 to the F10 (should be the same as the F11) here: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canona620/page7.asp the Hun |

Actually, the F10 and F11 can go up to 15 second exposure in night long exposure mode. I have the F10, and wish it had the sutter and aperture priority of the F11. It won't be COMPLETELY manual, but by utalizing exposure compensation and the priorities, you can make it do exactly what you wat. If noise is what you want to get rid of, the F10/11 is for you. The lowest F stop you can set to on the F series is F8. The F series has about ever custom option you should need except maybe manual focus. It will also be much more pocketable, and the pictures will not be overly sharpened, allowing for easier PP.

Wait 60 to 90 days and you can purchase the Fuji F-30 and have all the features of the F-11, plus a new maximum ISO of 3200, a new flash system, and the RP Real Picture II processor.

I'm looking at getting either an F11 or A700. The A700 is only £30 extra but the F11 will fit in my poket. The main thing stopping me is the macro focus range which is only 1cm on the Canon but 5cm on the F11

I suppose it all comes down to size, I have the Fuji F11 and it is a fantastic camera and is fine for carrying in your pocket.
