Which birdge camera for me?

I currently use APS-C DSLRs and 35mm film SLRs. The main purpose for a bridge camera is a tiny sensor for much more depth of field for macro. With APS-C and 35mm film size, I'm always hurting for DOF in macro photography. Filter threads are important so I can mount a close up lens such as my Nikon 4t. I know most cameras have macro mode, but I want to take macro to the extreme. And a hot shoe is very nice. I use off camera flash alot in macro shots so I can use low ISO's and not deal with blur issues from slow shutter speeds. And a super zoom of at least 500mm(35mm equiv)would be nice to play around with for maybe doing wildlife. So these are the important features: filter thread, hot shoe, and powerful zoom(and not too expensive). I'm looking at the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200. Do you think that would be a good choice for me?

G'day Bill

Yeah mate - get on with it quickly as the FZ200's are fast disappearing now that the 1000 has arrived
We have a 200 in our stable and it's a great camera

FZ 200 eyes closed.
FZ150 will do too.
Look at the FZ70 also, in that order, you cannot go much wrong on those.

Thanks for the replies. I saw a video on the Canon SX50 that almost made me want that one. But the constant f/2.8 aperture of the FZ200 is sweet even though it doesn't have the zoom range of the SX50. Graham Houghton's Youtube videos of the 200 are also very helpful, so maybe I'll order it Sunday because B&H is closed on Saturdays.

OK Rudi thanks for the link to the ebook. And I've been watching Graham's videos on Youtube. By the time the camera gets here I won't even need the manual thanks to Graham's videos :)
