The biggest differences lie in the amount of zoom and being equipped with IS. The 710 IS has 6X optical zoom and is equipped with IS. Whereas the 640 has only 4X optical zoom and no IS.
IS has become a highly desireable item to have and it result in more acceptable/printable photos, but it does increase the price of the camera. Personall I would prefer to have the IS if it were not a matter of budget, the extra zoom (which allows you to bring things closer in the photo) is also desireable. MT |

i still thinking betwen a640 and a710is...
but a710is didn't yet come in our stores .. i see on canon site only this diferences betwen this two model.. a640 /////// a710is image sensor: 1/1.8'' CCD/ 1/2.5CCD what is better *? flash range: 45cm - 4.2m (W) / 3m (T) / 55cm - 3.5m (W) / 2.5m (T) this means how far flash light goes ?* or what? batteries: 4 AA / 2 AA is 2 batteryenaugh ? is that good power source for a710is? sorry ,maybe this questions seems stupid.. but i'm bad with knowlege of technology.. and bad with english :? |
