I have a c-5050 and love it. I take many pics of flowers "macro" . I need more camera. I take close ups and want to crop. I found a nice used 8080, which I have herd rant and raves about. I am interested if ya all recomend it or anything in the 300-500 price range over the 8080.
thanks b |

The Olympus C-8080 Wide Zoom is a fantastic pro level fix lens.
Image quality are very film like, and the 28 mm - 140 mm F2.4 - F3.5 lens is just nothing short of superb. This camera was selling for $1100. (A truly high quality Magnesium alloy bodied camera with a 240,000 pixels E.V.F.) It has a large 2/3" Type C.C.D. Just note that the camera is very heavy at 724 g. (It is heavier than most SLR body) BTW,check if you can get the C-8080 today for around your price range. If you can get one, I'll say it is a deal! (Just note the overly complex andOlympus likemenu systems though!) http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_reviews/c8080.html This model got the DIWA Platinum Medal Award. |
