I would like 10 mp, as much X optical zoom as possible, simple to use for a beginner but, can allow me to advance as I learn. And of course my wife doesn't want me to break the bank. And the kicker is ... a housing and a strobe. It'll be used for everyday pics but, especially for scuba diving. I have been eyeballing the G7, A640, and P5000. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated on cameras, housings, strobes, etc.
Thank you, Kenny |

Actually, I'd go in the other direction. I'd start looking at housings and buy the camera that fits inside. Companies make different product lines of housings, and generally, the more capable the housing, the more expensive it is and the fewer cameras they make them for.
