I recently sold my Sony DSC717 and am looking to upgrade for better quality of picture. Paintball is a very fast moving sport when it comes to playing tourney style. So I am looking for something that will be able to keep up with me shooting pics. Continous shutter speed up between 4-5 fps would be great for those on-the-move shots. I also need something that is great with close-up and zoom shots. When taking pics I can only be on one side of the field for the game, so I am looking for something that hasreally good pic quality from about 125-150 feet away.
I usually put the pictures I take after the tournament up on the internet for teams to see them. So picture quality for me is important. Another thing that I need is duralbilty. I know no matter what if a lens gets shot I will be purchasing a new one, but I want to make sure the body is pretty durable. I am not sure wich digital SLR would be better for me to go with. Would wide angle or telephoto lenses be better? Which lenses would be the better way to go? The two cameras I have recently looked at have been the Canon EOS 20D and Nikon D200. Am not sure if I should be looking at something different for what I am wanting to do or what.Do either of the two cameras that I mentioned work great with Adobe Photo Shopand Apple Apeture?(I use both programs for working with pictures) I am new to this- if you haven't already figured that out. I am just really stumped on trying to find a new camera and do not have much time to figure out which one to buy........please help......any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thank You Dani |
