I dont understand the differance between these. Are they the same quality lens and pictures???

The A700 has a 6X zoom and full manual controls. The SD700 is point and shoot with a 4X zoom and optical stabilization. Both series have had excellent lenses and I doubt there will be a lot of quality difference between them.
