which do you think will be a better contender and why? I just got myself the 220sx and now i am kicking myself that maybe i should of waited.... just thinking of maybe returning it and getting on of these 2???? thoughts>

What do you feel you're missing in the 220...? The 260 may have a bit more zoom- but with a rather slow maximum aperture at 500mm of f/6.8- I'd question it's merits..!
The SX220hs is a thoroughly decent compact. I'd stick with it..! ![]() |

thx... i was thinking the digi 5 would make a huge difference! i thought that they might put it into the next one but was unsure so i got the 220 b/c it had such great reviews...i have head it made great changes in the other cameras that it has been put into, so that is why i thought of maybe taking it back...

I think the 210(which I have) to the 220 was a step up worth taking due to the CMOS 12mp sensor (as opposed to the 14mp CCD)- lowering noise levels and improving speed a bit. I'm not sure the 220 to the 240/260 will be such a huge improvement...
Maybe future reviews may prove me wrong...! ![]() As for the 520HS- just a bit too small for me personally- and no manual modes..! Last edited by SIMON40; Feb 20, 2012 at 10:30 AM. |
