I'm looking for an easy point and shoot camera for everyday use - nothing special. I don't like to have to read an entire manual in order to take a picture. I've researched these three cameras but can't decide between them. I like the Kodaks because of the 5X zoom and automatic smart scene but am leary of the plastic body and no viewfinder. Both the Kodak Z1275 and Canon A570 have good reviews by Steve. Please give me your opinions. Thanks.

All three are good, but one thing to keep in mind is that the Kodaks don't have very good macro ability - the closest you can get is 7.9 inches. You can get as close as 2 inches with the A570IS which, for me, is a very significant advantage.

I came across one more possibility - Fujifilm S700. I would love the 10x zoom but my only concerns are ease of use and the purple haze that alot of the reviews comment on.
So now - Canon A570, Kodak x885, z1275 and Fujifilm s700. |
