Ok i think i finnaly nailed it down to two cameras but am still undecided. PLEASE HELP! although the A700 is the newer and the pros are optical zoom and only 2 AA i'm reading reviews that the flash takes ages to charge whaich is a major downside
the A620 pros are that it is now cheaper andit has the7MP resolution where as the A700 has only 6. a con would be the lees zoom and the fact takes 4 X AA which i'm against. to much battery to carry about for me when considering spares. All i want to know is which camera takes the better pics and which will give me themore creative freedom. I want a digital compact that will let me get really creative with all the manual features and i think the powershot series is coming in with top ratings and is in my budget. Any info would be greatly appreciated! WHICH WILL I BUY ?????????????? |
I vote for the 620, less $, more pixels, larger CCD and 4X zoom.
The 700 has 6X, larger LCD but a smaller CCD and less pixels. Photo quality appears near equal, its a case of which features mean more to you?? |

The 4 x AA on the A620 should last you ages between charges so most of the time there's no need to carry round spares. In many ways the A700 is a step backwards in terms of features and abilities. Go for the A620. |
I have the same problem choosing between these two.
A700 is a newer model, so not sure how it can be worse than a620. I have found a good list of feebdackabout both cameras: A700 feedback A620 feedback Looks like the only problem of 700 is a slow flash but I don't think anyone compared it to 620. |
