Hello for everybody. What do you think would be better, a new eos 20D + a 17-80mm ef-s Is, used lens, or a new 30D kit with the basic lens (dont remember the mm).

Some more points:



- I can have the 20D with that lens right now at 1800$.

-Probably the 30D kit would be like 1800$ here in my country, Peru. (why?, 1500 in usa. But with taxes it would be like 1600$, the cost of bringing it here like 200$ if I'm lucky).

- The 30D has some improvements, but i'll have to wait some weeks, hoping that it really comes in mid march.

- I guees that the 30D will be a better camera than the 20D, but i'ts good to read some reviews first, and that ads some more days to my desition.

What I have read it makes sense to get 30D even though 20D will be a bit cheaper. I am planning to get 30D due to bigger LCD monitor, ISO display in viewfinder and ISO selectable in 1/3 stop increment. All of these features are not available in 20D.

I'd say wait for 2 or 3 weeks if you can ,and see how much more the 30D body is and chose then, maybe you could have the 30D + 17-85 IS for 200$ or 300$ more, who knows :!:and I think the price of the 20D will drop even more by then.

I am looking to get a 30D also. I do not want to buy an EF-S lens because I cannot use it with an FF camera (yeah one day I will have an FF camera). Just another perspective.
