Hi, Ive been considering upgrading my current compact (Canon Ixus 400) to a newer model.
Ive kind of narrowed it down to either the Canon Ixus 800 or possibly the Lecia C lux 1. Ive not actually 'pressed the flesh' to either but was wondering if anyone out there has any comments or suggestions. Its a case of the head saying Cannon while the heart goes with the Leica. Ive heard the Leica is in fact just a rebaged Panasonic Lumix - Is this the case or is thespec /construction actually different?WillI be paying over the odds for the Leica badge? Whatever I go for will mainly be used for general snap shots - The one thing that hasdiapointed me withmy current Ixus 400 is the amount of red eyeI get with indoor shots even with the red eye reduction set on. I know this will probably always be a problem with small compacts because of the lens / flash proximity, but am hoping ther has been some advances in technology and workings of the two cameras i have been considering. Any comments would be most welcome Thanks in advance |
